After installing
Three things to set up.
Step 1: Grant Accessibility (optional, macOS)
In Settings → General, click “Enable access…”. macOS then lets Prompt Presets see the active chat and append to its prompt field.
Step 2: Choose a prediction engine
Your Codex CLI (ChatGPT subscription), your Claude Code CLI (Claude subscription) or an OpenAI API key, or with Pro the Fast Prompt Presets engine, which needs no key. Use “Check sign-in” to confirm a CLI is ready.
Step 3: Set your shortcuts
On macOS the defaults are ⌃⌥⌘P for predictions and ⌃⌥⌘T for top prompts (Ctrl+Alt+P and Ctrl+Alt+Shift+T on Windows and Linux). Change or test them in Settings → Shortcuts.
